About me

I graduated from University College London with a degree in Psychology and spent 30 years in recruitment, helping individuals find jobs that matched their skills and aspirations.

Ten years ago, I pursued my dream of becoming a counsellor, gaining significant personal growth through training and volunteering at EBS Counselling Service and subsequently working at Options Counselling in Southampton.

I continue as a Job Search Coach to support people through redundancy and as a qualified Counsellor I help people manage issues like anxiety, depression, grief, loss and trauma, providing a safe space for change.

How I work

My training is in humanistic counselling, transactional analysis, acceptance and commitment therapy, which I combine with a mind/body focus.

I therefore, bring a diverse perspective to therapy and tailor my approach to suit your individual needs, recognising that everyone’s life experience is unique and ensuring flexibility. Weekly counselling sessions can be on a short or longer-term basis, online or in person.

I am committed to creating an environment of mutual respect where you feel safe, supported and understood.

I believe in the transformative power of self-awareness which creates the possibility for values based choices.

Our work together will be focused on facilitating change that is both meaningful and sustainable. We will explore new perspectives and possibilities, empowering you to move forward with an improved sense of wellbeing.
